Mission Statement

Cokesbury’s children Sunday school curriculum enables children to experience God through Jesus Christ. Children and the adults who live and work with them will experience together, in the Christian community, the stories and messages of the Bible in ways appropriate to the children's increasing maturity.

The curriculum will help children and adults who work with them:

• Develop a deep and life-giving relationship with God,
• Respond in faith to Jesus Christ's redeeming love,
• Seek and trust the guidance of the Holy Spirit for their lives,
• Recognize the Holy Bible as the Word of God, the primary guide for faith and practice, and
• Identify themselves as children of God and grow in discipleship - exploring the calls of God, the teachings of Jesus, and the witness of the church.
