Before you connect the inverter — check your socket protection (RCBO/RCD)
Modern consumer units have a test button on the RCBO/RCD. Press it — the switch should trip; reset it. If unsure, ask a qualified electrician.
Mounting
Balcony / Wall / Flat Mounting Kit
Warning — before you fit
Confirm the rail/wall can take the load. Two people recommended. Keep within the height and wind limits in the manual.
Micro-inverter
Micro-inverter — 800 VA
Danger — live electrical equipment
Consumer-unit work must be done by a qualified electrician. The inverter is live in daylight — unplug the socket first, then disconnect the panels; never disconnect while it is running. Do not open or modify it. Fit it out of direct sun and rain.
DC cable routing
Secure and route the DC cable neatly — use cable clips, avoid crushing or pinching it, and form a drip loop below the connectors so water runs off before it can reach them. Wall-mounting the inverter away from the panels? You may need a PowerXpress DC extension (2 m or 5 m) — always use the matched PowerXpress cable, not a generic extension.
